The story behind the tune.

"The Amazing Adventures of Dr Doctor Moriarty" tune refers to my old friend Mick Moriarty of Dublin, who was group member and manager of The Pavees folk group based in Slattery's pub, Capel Street, Dublin.

Other members of the group were the Keenan family (John junior and senior, Paddy, Thomas, Brendan), George Furey – and others.

Later, he moved to England and for many years became a stalwart on the Irish scene in Newcastle-upon-Tyne – and then in London.
