I first discovered OME when I played on the International Banjo Festival in Germany 1987. I was fascinated by their sound, beauty and glamour.

In these concerts, the professional jazz players, Cynthia Sayer, Buddy Wachter and Peter Mayer gave OME BANJOS a spectacular showcase.

Soon after, I contacted the owner Charles Ogsbury - and asked if I could deal with them. He agreed, and I started with an "Juggernaut" - their most famous model with its striking scroll inlays. I continued to import, and have been OME’s sole UK agent ever since.

Using their stylish image, I was photographed playing a gold plated OME for the front cover of my tutor book "Stompin’ Ground".

I can recommend OME if you want an American classic that is the very best quality. They have outstanding sound and playablity; and a stunning image - for eye-catching concert presence, or a prize piece in a banjo collection.
